Thanks for this post! I've been trying my hand at grouping objects lately, but I can't seem to change the timing of grouped objects the way you described it. I don't see a Timing section in the Properties panel when I select the grouped objects. Other than add a shadow or reflection, and tilt the angle, I haven't been able to do much with grouped objects. Would appreciate it if you could share how exactly you were able to do this: 'Group the objects and then, using the Timing group on the Properties panel, change the Timing as needed for the group.'
